Indi's Entry

Dear All Kevin Dreyer Supporters-

Yo! He talks, he walks, he pees a lot. YIPPEE and Praise the Lord.

The transplant team is quite pleased with his progress and will release him tomorrow (Saturday). We of course need to stay down here for clinicals (testing, updates) for at least next week on Tuesday and Friday. After that the clinicals continue and we will need to decide if the drives back and forth to South Bend will be to miserable taht soon. His incision is huge (about 12 inches) and pretty darn sensitive. He really needs to rest and heal and rest and heal. He had diabetic and insulin training today which is the only rather weird quirk in this so far. They believe the spike in his blood sugar levels may be accounted to the immuno-suppresant regiment. Hopefully this will only be temporary (2-3 weeks?!?) Again, Kevin is looking good, managing the pain well and enjoying his portable DVD player and headset that we gave him for Father's Day. Take care all of you and I'll try to stay in touch with this BLOG, GLOGG, KLOG, or whatever it is through Lydia's hands.

Love, Indi

Kevin, et al

Thank you for the updates. We have returned safely home, and already the trip seems like a distant blur. Checking in on your blog is very helpful and has likely kept you from receiving even more phone calls. We are pleased to hear of your remarkable progress and wish you well as you continue to recover.

Indi, Kevin, Lyddie and all Dreyer spirits --

I'm so encouraged to read the blog and learn about Kevin's super recovery. Probably there are 500 people just now pleased as punch.

All the best, go slow, patience, steady progress is the best, and come home soon for 500 hugs.

Much love to you all, Jill
